CAIR is upset about SEAL training methods

It seems CAIR is always offended by something.

The latest is that they are upset because the US Navy SEALs are using likenesses of Muslim females dressed in Shariah-compliant garb, as targets in their training.

CAIR needs to butt out of SEAL training. The SEALs endeavor to make their training as real as possible and, the fact is, in the past decade, the majority of the enemy fighters they have met on the battlefield were Islamic Jihadists. Muslims all. If that bothers CAIR, they haven’t said so yet.

Maybe that’s because CAIR is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood and their leadership was implicated with wiretap evidence as being tied to HAMAS, an officially designated terrorist organization according to the US State Department. On top of this, CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing conviction in US history, the US v the Holy Land Foundation…

So read the press release below from CAIR with a grain of salt. They aren’t mad at all the Jihadists that actually shoot at SEALs, they are mad at the SEALs for shooting at pictures of Jihadists. Makes perfect sense, right?

WASHINGTON, June 29, 2012 — /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — A prominent national Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization today called on Pentagon officials not to use a target depicting a Muslim woman wearing a religious head scarf (hijab) and verses from the Quran in combat scenarios for training Navy SEALs at the new close quarters combat range at Joint Base Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Va.

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said that military facility, referred to as a “kill house,” features a number of combat scenarios, including a mosque and a movable target of a Muslim woman wearing hijab and aiming a handgun. Verses from the Quran, Islam’s revealed text, are also displayed behind the target.

“Using a Muslim woman wearing a religious head scarf with [verses from the] Quran behind her as a target for our nation’s military personnel is offensive and sends a negative and counterproductive message to trainees and to the Muslim-majority nations to which they may be deployed,” wrote CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad in a letter to Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta. “This is yet another example of why the Department of Defense needs to fix what appears to be an ongoing problem by consulting credible scholars and experts to review all training and training materials related to Islam or Muslims.”

UPDATE 30 JUNE 1500 CDT: Creeping Shariah reports that the Navy has given in to CAIR’s complaints and have removed the targets from their range.

The current leadership in the Department of Defense is terrible. Leon Panetta is just what you’d expect Obama to appoint as Secretary of Defense: an unqualified disaster.

Shame on Panetta for not recognizing the reality of our enemies. This administration is determined to declare the war over and this fits in with that narrative.

Jihad, Twitter and Syrian Bad Guys

Social media is a great innovation.

But even great things can be used for nefarious purposes and social media is no exception.

Take the images below for example. They were downloaded from a Twitter account belonging to a Saudi national who has pledged to join the jihad against the Assad regime. The flag in each of these three pictures is that of Al Qaeda.

The Jihadis are using social media, such as Twitter, to communicate, recruit and spread their propaganda.

This brings us to the conflict in Syria. Many in the West seem to want America and its allies to intervene to help overthrow the Assad regime. Assad is horrible to be sure. We should wish him nothing but misery. Under the current President Assad and his father before him, Syria was a serial sponsor of Jihadist terrorism, Hezbollah and HAMAS in particular. Syria also facilitated the movement of Jihadis into Iraq along “rat lines” to fight US troops during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Now the Jihadis have turned and are biting the hand that has fed them. But that doesn’t make the Jihadis good guys all of a sudden. If the West intervenes against Assad, we will be helping Al Qaeda and its allies.

There are no good guys in Syria.

We should hope that the two sides fight each other in perpetuity and bleed each other out.

Al Qaeda and forest fires

While there is no evidence that the fire currently raging in Colorado was an act of terrorism, or even man-made at all, it is certainly worth reviewing and mentioning that Al Qaeda has repeatedly discussed such action in its literature. Moreover, in Israel, Jihadists have in fact used forest fires as terrorist weapons.

Recently, Al Qaeda’s online magazine, “Inspire,” instructed Al Qaeda followers to set forest fires in the US:

An unclassified report by the Department of Homeland Security indicates Al Qaeda has issued instructions in its terror magazine “Inspire” on how to set wildfires in the United States.

It suggests that using wildfires as a tactic because of its potential for casualties, economic damage, and wide media coverage; and the accompanying psychological effects of fear and terror.

In addition recent posts to English-language violent Islamic extremist Web forums have also encouraged individuals in the United States to start wildfires and given specific instructions on how to do so.

According to the DHS the equipment and materials needed to use fire as a weapon are “common and easily obtainable, making preoperational activities difficult to detect.”

Montana and California are specifically mentioned as ideal targets for wildfires.

America’s Bureaucratized Counterterror Apparatus At Work

America is hamstrung in its efforts to defend itself from Jihadist terrorists by a remarkable denial in law enforcement, homeland security, intelligence and military circles as to the nature of our enemy and the threat we face.

This stems partly from political correctness and ignorant assumptions about our enemy and his doctrine.

But it also is the result of effective influence operations run by the Muslim Brotherhood to control how we ourselves describe our enemies and speak about our enemies. This has reached the point at which the Obama administration has openly embraced the Muslim Brotherhood overseas in nations like Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and, evidently, Syria.

Muslim Brotherhood front groups, like Hamas-tied CAIR, ISNA and the Muslim Students Association, all of which were named unindicted co-conspirators in the largest terrorism financing conviction in US history, and have been shielded from prosecution by Eric Holder, have tremendous influence in the Obama administration, to the point that we now know that, despite the fact that the FBI felt compelled to cut off all relations with CAIR, for example, Obama White House officials have met with CAIR hundreds of times over the past 3 years.

So, while the DHS pats down little old ladies and toddlers in airports, they are in TOTAL denial as to the war we are in.

Individuals like John Brennan, Eric Holder and Paul Stockton, who can only be described as bureaucratic train wrecks, control our policies and prevent America from ever being effective in coming to terms with the threat from violent Jihad, which is based in the doctrine known as Shariah.

I urge you to view the short videos below. I do not like terms like, “violent Islamic extremism” or “radical Islam,” but they are a far sight better than the terms our bureaucratized counterterrorism apparatus uses to describe the threat.

The fact of the matter is that America and the West is confronted with a global Islamic insurgency. Like all insurgencies, this one is mostly political, not military, though it does have a military/violent component. This is born out in the fact that large, global Islamic organizations that claim to be peaceful, such as Hizb ut Tahrir, the Muslim Brotherhood and Tabligi Jamaat have the same goals as terrorist organizations such as Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, HAMAS, Lashkar e Taiba, the Taliban, Al Shabaab, Boko Haram, Abu Sayyaf, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Jemaah Islamiyah.

These goals and this insurgency are anchored in Islamic doctrine, known as Shariah. This does not mean that all Muslims are terrorists or Jihadists, but there is no denying that the doctrine exists and has existed for many years. The fact is, most Muslims do not adhere to this doctrine some are unaware that it even exists. But unfortunately that cannot be said to delegitimize the Shariah doctrine that brings us violent Jihad and a global Islamic insurgency designed to bring about supremacy of Islam worldwide.

Thanks to our own ignorance and the influence operations of the political wing of the global Islamic insurgency (especially the Muslim Brotherhood in America), we have become willfully blind to the threat. We need no further evidence than the disgraceful  bureaucrats in the three videos below:
