BREAKING: Shooting at Canadian Parliament Building in Ottawa

A Canadian forces soldier has been shot outside the Canadian parliament building in Ottawa, Canada a short time ago.

Reports indicate that the shooter is still at large. The soldier is “down” but there are no reports on his condition.

We are watching closely to determine if this was a Jihadi attack.

On Monday, two Canadian soldiers were killed by a Jihadi when they were run down by his car. That Jihadi was shot and killed.

This would not be the first time the Canadian parliament has been targeted by Jihadis. In 2006, Canadian authorities disrupted a Jihadi plot to attack the Canadian parliament…

News bureaus are reporting another terror plot has been uncovered and disrupted, this time in Canada.

From Fox News:

Canadian authorities are expected this afternoon to announce the arrests of suspects who planned a major terrorist attack, possibly in the U.S., Fox News has confirmed. A Justice Department source confirmed the arrests Monday. There is no definite word on the target of the attacks, but New York City may have been one of the targets. An official says there is no current credible threat to New York City.

An alleged terror plot that has been uncovered intended to target “transport links,” an official with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police says.
Canadian authorities are expected to announce at a 3:30 p.m. ET press conference that law enforcement officials “thwarted a plot to carry out a major terrorist attack, arresting suspects in Ontario and Quebec,” according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

Canadian police and intelligence agencies will announce later today they have thwarted a plot to carry out a major terrorist attack, arresting two suspects in Montreal and Toronto, CBC News has learned.

Highly placed sources tell CBC News the alleged plotters have been under surveillance for more than a year in Quebec and southern Ontario.

The two men are expected to appear in court tomorrow.

The investigation was part of a cross-border operation involving Canadian law enforcement agencies, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

According to a Reuters report, U.S. law enforcement and national security sources said the alleged plot targeted a railroad between Toronto and New York City.

Several Muslim community leaders were called by Mounties early Monday to drop what they were doing and come at 2:30 p.m. to the RCMP police station near Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.

1456 Hrs CDT: Reports are now circulating that the plot was “Al Qaeda-supported.”

1508 Hrs CDT: “Police said the men are not Canadian citizens, but declined to say where they were from.”

The two men were receiving support “in the form of direction and guidance” from al Qaeda elements in Iran, police said. They are not Canadian citizens.

TOP 10 JIHADI MOSQUES: Wikileaks Documents Reveal Main Mosques Used to Recruit, Train for Jihad According to Pentagon

Wikileaks has revealed a US report on Guantanamo terrorist prisoners called the “Matrix of Threat Indicators for Enemy Combatants.”

You will see this document written up in dozens of articles in the media and the blogosphere over the next few days.

We wanted to call attention to one list that has come out of that report: a list of foreign mosques and Islamic centers that are used to recruit and train Jihadis. Note that this list does not include mosques here in the US which, beyond a shadow of a doubt, are also centers for Jihad recruitment. This list is not meant to be exhaustive, but it does purport to be the largest centers of Jihadi activity.

This should serve as a stark warning for those among us who still insist that Jihadist organizations like Al Qaeda and their followers are not embedded in religion…

Mosques in places like Pakistan and Yemen certainly come as no surprise. The ones in Great Britain, France, Italy and Canada are much more worrisome for those of us who live in the West. It might also be noted that no Saudi mosques or Islamic centers are mentioned, no doubt due to a lack of intelligence. There is certainly no shortage of Saudi Jihadis in the world and they had to be recruited somewhere…
