New Bill in Congress to Designate Hezbollah as a Drug Trafficker

posted by Christopher W. Holton

Congressmen Ted Budd of North Carolina and Lee Zeldin of New York have filed legislation in Congress that would designated Hezbollah as a drug trafficker.

The bill has been dubbed the Hezbollah Kingpin Designation Act. If the act passes into law, it would evidently empower the Treasury Department to more aggressively target Hezbollah’s finances.

Frankly, while we support the legislation wholeheartedly, we are a bit confused that there needs to be any kind of additional designation to enable any arm of the U.S. government to target Hezbollah more aggressively.

Shouldn’t it be enough that they are designated as a foreign terrorist organization?

Alas, the bill would list Hezbollah under the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act of 1999.

We should all be appreciative that Reps Budd and Zeldin conceived of this idea and we should support its expeditious passage.

India Cuts Deal With American Jihadi Involved in Mumbai Massacre

India has granted a partial pardon to David Coleman Headley, the naturalized U.S. citizen and former DEA informant, who conducted reconnaissance ahead of the horrible Mumbai massacre back in 2008.

Reportedly, India has granted this partial pardon in return for Headley’s testimony about support from Pakistani military/intelligence officials for Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Jihadist terror group that pulled off the attack.

That Mumbai attack apparently served as a model for future attacks, including the Paris attacks this year and the recent attack in San Bernardino.

For those of you who are not familiar with that attack, in which at least 10 Jihadists carried out a dozen separate attacks using small arms, grenades and IEDs, killing 166 innocent civilians in hotels and other soft targets, there is a good documentary online about it:

The partial pardon for Headley is likely to be very controversial in India.

Here is a link to a good documentary about Headley’s life as a Jihadist and an informant who fooled U.S. authorities, causing them to look the other way in return for drug information while he was hiding right out in the open as a Jihadist.

David Coleman Headley’s story illustrates just how long Jihad has been embedded here in America. It is now being operationalized and we will likely find out its infrastructure is much more developed and widespread than anyone previously believed.

Another Sign of Possible Jihadi Activity in Mississippi

By Christopher W. Holton

There has been a profound shift in the war against Jihad. Jihad has come to America–and not just to New York and Washington.

We’re seeing more and more activity across the fruited plain and from sea to shining sea, unfortunately.

This includes Mississippi.

Not long ago, a newlywed couple in Starkville, Mississippi decided to celebrate their nuptials by joining the Islamic State. Creeping Sharia put together an excellent synopsis of that development, which has several twists and turns:

Overnight came word of possibly more Jihadi activity in Mississippi, this time in Laurel, Mississippi, which is a few hours south-southwest of Starkville. It seems that a group of Yemeni men have been selling khat in the town. Khat is a substance that, up to now, has been absent from the Mississippi illegal drug scene. It has been used around the world as a source for funding Jihad over the years, in addition to providing “influence” to young Jihadis sent on Islamikaze missions.

Here is an image depicting the front page article from the Laurel newspaper on the subject:
