Jihad will conquer victimhood. Terrorist attacks are NOT tragedies. They are atrocities. No more flowers and candlelight vigils. Please.

Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch has brought us an immensely important story about Jihadist infiltration of the police and military in France.
The story is nothing short of frightening, especially its details:
A leaked confidential memo from the Department of Public Security, published by Le Parisien, details 17 cases of police officers radicalized between 2012 and 2015. Particularly noted were the police officers who listen to and broadcast Muslim chants while on patrol.
Some of these police officers have openly refused to protect synagogues or to observe a minute of silence to commemorate the deaths of victims of terrorist attacks.
In addition, the police were alerted to a policewoman who incited terrorism on Facebook, and called her police uniform a “filthy rag of the Republic” while wiping her hands on it. In January 2015, immediately after the attacks on Charlie Hebdo and the Hypercacher kosher supermarket in Vincennes, which had left 17 people dead, she wrote on her Facebook page: “Masked attack led by Zionist cowards… They need to be killed.”
There’s more:
As early as 2013, during the fifth national security parliamentary conference, Colonel Pascal Rolez, adjunct to the assistant director of the counter-intervention unit of the Defense Security Protection Department (DPSD), declared, “We are witnessing an increase in radicalization among the French military, notably since the Merah affair.” Recall that Mohammed Merah, a young French Muslim, murdered three French soldiers in Toulouse and Montauban, as well as murdering four French Jews at a school in Toulouse.
In order to identify members of the armed forces who are being radicalized, the DPSD takes into account changes in dress, recurrent sick leave, travel, or theft of supplies or materiel.
Since the January 2015 attacks on Charlie Hebdo and the kosher supermarket in Paris, the media have noted several indications of radicalization in the French army.
On January 21, 2015, the radio station RFI announced that about 10 French soldiers deserted and joined the Jihadist fight in Syria and Iraq. Jean-Yves Le Drian, Defense Minister, has confirmed this, although with the caveat that these are “extremely rare” cases. Apparently, one of these veterans holds the position of “emir” in Deir Ezzor in Syria, and leads a group of around 10 French combatants whom he has personally trained. The other French deserters are explosives experts or paratroopers; some come from commando units in the French Foreign Legion.
Also in January 2015, after the Paris attacks, police discovered that “Emmanuelle C,” a 35-year-old female gendarmerie (paramilitary national police) adjunct, had converted to Islam in 2011, and had a relationship with Amar Ramdani, who was wanted for weapons and drug trafficking. Ramdani is a confederate of Amedy Coulibaly, who perpetrated the murderous Montrouge and Hypercacher attacks in Paris. Ramdani had been observed by the police department’s intelligence division (DRPP) in the “public” area of the fort in Rosny-Sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis). This fort houses the gendarmerie’s scientific branch. As for Emmanuelle C, she was accused of having committed more than 60 security breaches of the suspect persons’ file (FPR). She was sentenced to one year of probation and expelled from the gendarmerie….

This is a hugely important story which, naturally, is being ignored by the U.S. news media because it didn’t happen here…yet…or this time…or something…
An Imam at a mosque in southern Italy has been arrested for recruiting Somali refugees to launch terrorist attacks in Italy, including an attack at Rome’s central train station.
This is obviously important for two reasons:
1. It is another case of an Islamic religious cleric being involved in Jihadist terrorism, something that has happened frequently, but continues to be ignored by our bureaucratized counterterror apparatus and media.
2. The recruiting activity was being conducted among refugees seeking asylum in Italy.
There are lessons to be learned here, but we won’t hold our breath…
Campobasso (Italy), March 9 (IANS/AKI) Police arrested a Somali imam in southern Italy on Wednesday for allegedly inciting other asylum-seekers to stage jihadist terror attacks including on Rome’s central train station.
The cleric was detained in Campobasso at the Happy Family centre accommodating asylum-seekers in the city.
The imam “repeatedly encouraged other Muslims at the centre to commit acts of terrorism” showing them images of gruesome acts carried out by Islamist extremists, police said.
He also exalted the Islamic State’s deadly November attacks in Paris and urged guests at the Happy Family centre to travel to Syria with him and wage jihad, according to police.
Police seized the cleric’s phone as well as that of another Somali asylum-during searches at the centre on Wednesday.
Prosecutors in Campobasso are spearheading the ongoing probe in coordination with the national anti-mafia directorate and the European Union’s judical cooperation unit Eurojust.

Another significant news story receiving hardly any attention from the U.S. media…who could possibly have wanted these missiles?
Hellfires are fairly large. They are not something that could be readily launched without a large launcher, which is usually vehicle mounted on large armored vehicles, such as the Bradley fighting vehicle. But the shaped charge (HEAT) warhead could absolutely be used in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that could penetrate some types of armor and reinforced concrete.
Serbia’s authorities are investigating reports that a cargo package bound for the U.S. containing two missiles with explosive warheads was found on a passenger flight from Lebanon to Serbia.
N1 television said the package with two guided armor-piercing missiles was discovered Saturday by a sniffer dog after an Air Serbia flight from Beirut landed at Belgrade airport.
Serbian media say documents listed the final destination for the AGM-114 Hellfire missiles as Portland, Oregon.

State legislation known as “Andy’s Law” stiffens criminal penalties for terrorism and material support for terrorism.
It is needed on the state level because our bureaucratized counterterrorism apparatus on the federal level is routinely reluctant to bring terrorism charges in cases that are clearly terrorism. The law also creates a civil cause of action empowering victims of terrorism to sue in state court those who provide material support and aid those who commit acts of terrorism. Andy’s Law has already passed into law in Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, North Carolina and Tennessee.
It is called Andy’s Law after Private Andy Long, who was gunned down on June 1, 2009 by a Jihadist named Abdulhakim Muhammed outside an Army Recruiting office in Little Rock, Arkansas, as reported in the documentary, “Losing Our Sons.”
In this undated photo provided by the U.S. Army in Little Rock, Ark., Tuesday, June 2, 2009, Pvt. William Long, 23, of Conway, Ark., is shown Friday, May 15, 2009. Long was killed outside an Army-Navy Career Center in a west Little Rock shopping center on Monday, June 1. (AP Photo/U.S. Army)
One state in which Andy’s Law will not be passed into law in 2016 evidently is Florida.
That’s because the state’s House Speaker, Steve Crisafulli, killed the Andy’s Law bill that was authored by Senator Joe Negron and Representative Mike Hill.
Prior to Crisafulli’s action, the bill had passed 3 committees in the Florida Senate, 2 subcommittees of the House and a full committee of the House without a single opposing vote.
It then passed the full Senate 35-0.
At the 11th hour, at Crisafulli’s specific direction, the bill was blocked from a vote on the House floor.
Crisafulli is a prime example of a generation of establishment Republican politicians who have failed the nation in terms of making national security a top priority as President Reagan did.
The question remains: why did Crisafulli block a measure that has sailed through state legislatures elsewhere and had unanimous bipartisan support in the Florida legislature?
The only known opponents of Andy’s Law are Muslim Brotherhood groups, as identified in the largest terrorism financing prosecution in U.S. history, the U.S. v. the Holy Land Foundation.
In that trial, groups such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) and others were named as Muslim Brotherhood fronts and unindicted co-conspirators in that prosecution.
All of these well-funded groups and their allies are active in Florida. They are the only known opponents of Andy’s Law. This raises serious questions about the political terrain in the Sunshine State to say the least when a prominent Republican leader would unilaterally kill a popular counterterrorism measure opposed by nefarious elements of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Islamic State’s media arm, Constancy media, issued a new, gruesome video overnight and this one is slightly different in that it includes an overt threat aimed at the U.S. spoken by an onscreen executioner.
The video is entitled, “A Message to America From the Islamic Caliphate Supporters” and features this threat:
“We will kill, slaughter & burn your people, we will attack you very soon
After the threat directed at the U.S., the masked executioner proceeds to behead what appear to be Syrian Army soldiers held captive by the Islamic State.

An Improvised Explosive Device, sometimes known as a bomb, disguised as a laptop computer was detonated today at an airport security checkpoint in Somalia. Preliminary reports from the scene indicate 6 injuries and, thankfully, no deaths, from this incident.
But this is a nightmare scenario that we have discussed here on Terror Trends Bulletin before and it is worth reposting here:
Since the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States, the federal government has gone to great lengths to keep weaponry of all sorts from finding its way on airliners.
The effectiveness of these measures is open to debate, but the idea has been to prevent items such as explosive devices fashioned in the form of contact lens saline solution bottles, shaving cream cans and the like from finding their way onto an airliner. The TSA is also supposed to be on the lookout for box cutters (and pocket knifes and fingernail files), as well as shoes loaded with explosives.
All of these measures have been reactive–in response to both successful and failed terrorist plots from the past. Such is the nature of our bureaucratic counter terror apparatus. The enemy watches what we do and dreams up more methods to exploit holes and vulnerabilities in the defensive security measures. And, of course, once the enemy tries a new method, successful or otherwise, the TSA modifies its policies to defend against the last attack.
Americans of all philosophies are frustrated by what they perceive as onerous inconveniences and gross invasions of personal privacy.
But that is not the issue that should be of greatest concern to Americans. What should truly concern us all is that the measures that have locked down airliners tighter than a drum have created bottlenecks and choke points in airport terminals, leaving even larger numbers of travelers vulnerable to violent terrorist attack.
One attack on a single airliner has the potential to kill anywhere from dozens to a few hundred innocent passengers. But an attack on a busy airport terminal has the potential to kill several plane loads of innocent travelers before they get on the airplane.
Take a look at the accompanying photographs and the vulnerability is clear. A backpack bomb in a security line would be devastating and the security apparatus is exactly what caused the vulnerability.

To be fair, security lines are not the only vulnerability. Long lines at ticket counters produce huge crowds and bottlenecks as well:
What all this adds up to is an overall air travel industry that is still quite at risk.
Lest you think that I have pointed out a vulnerability that the Jihadists may not have thought of yet, rest assured that the Jihadists have already identified airports as targets for mass casualty attacks.
In fact, there have been two such attacks in recent years, one successful and one failed.
In January 2011, Islamikaze bombers attacked Domodedovo airport in Moscow, killing 35 and wounding 182. This incident is largely forgotten in the West. In fact, it received scant media attention beyond the day of the attack.
The fact that the attackers were believed to have been trained at an Al Qaeda camp in Pakistan should serve as a warning to America. If the Jihadis can train to attack Russian airports, they can train to attack American airports just as well.
The photographs below of the carnage serve as a stark contrast to the photos above showing travelers queuing up to get their tickets or go through security…Note that these photos were taken from camera phones soon after the bombing.

05_Flatbed_WEB – JANUARY Original Filename: Domodedovo_airport_twitter1.jpgvia Flatbed WebWhen one compares the photos from the security and ticket counter lines to the photos from Moscow, it is not difficult to grasp the magnitude of the vulnerability.
Moscow was not the only airport attack.
In 2007, two Moslem physicians attempted to blow up the terminal building at Glasgow International Airport in the UK with a VBIED (Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device).
The two planned on driving a Jeep Cherokee through the front door and detonating a large bomb upon slamming through the entrance. Fortunately, their bomb fizzled, but the images below show just how close they came to achieving their evil objective. Given the results from other VBIED attacks in the past in places like Lebanon, Iraq, Kenya and Tanzania, it’s not hard to imagine the horrible effects of a successful attack on a crowded airport terminal.
There is an old saying that he who tries to defend everything defends nothing. What is the answer to these vulnerabilities? No doubt technology will play a prominent role in finding solutions, but we should also consider the fact that while the newly unionized TSA is confiscating nail clippers from soldiers returning from war, making mothers sample their own breast milk, frisking wheelchair-bound grandmothers and fondling genitalia, they are actually putting all travelers in real danger.
