Coalition expresses shock at breaking reports that NYC Mayor Bloomberg and NYPD Commissioner Kelly were not consulted prior to Holder’s 9/11 trial announcement

New York, December 2, 2009 — According to breaking news reports, New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has stated that city officials were not consulted prior to announcing a decision to bring the 9/11 terrorist conspirators to trial in a New York City civilian court.

Commissioner Kelly was asked whether U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder consulted with the NYPD in advance about security concerns surrounding the possibility of holding the terror trial in New York.  Kelly responded: “The fact is we weren’t asked.  And we will make the best of a situation.  We weren’t.”

A spokesperson for New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has asserted that the Mayor was informed of the decision only on the very morning Attorney General Holder made his announcement.

“There was no consultation, no consultation with the police department.  That decision was made.  We were informed,” Commissioner Kelly added on Tuesday.

Debra Burlingame, co-founder of 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America, who is organizing a massive rally this Saturday, December 5th, at Foley Square, stated today, “This shocking revelation makes it crystal clear that the Attorney General’s decision to bring Khalid Shaikh Mohammed to New York City was pre-ordained, and he wasn’t about to ask for input that would have resulted in his having to defend the indefensible.”

According to the New York Daily News, New York City spends $300 million per year for ordinary counterterrorism operations.  “The Attorney General told 9/11 families that bringing these monsters to NYC is a ‘trust me situation,’ ” said Burlingame.  “The American people should not trust the judgment or competence of the nation’s chief law enforcement officer who revealed that he consulted his wife over the decision but not the government officials who are entrusted with our safety and security and who will have to deal with the consequences of that decision.”

On Saturday at noon, thousands will rally at Foley Square at the federal courthouse where the trial, if the decision is not reversed, will take place.  Two weeks ago, the 9/11 Never Forget Coalition sent a letter signed by 300 family members of 9/11 victims to the President, Attorney General and Defense Secretary Robert Gates asking them to reverse course.   The letter has now been signed by over 135,000 Americans and is posted at 911familiesforamerica.org

A Year of Jihad in America (December 2008 to December 2009)

There is mounting evidence that the global Jihadist insurgency is fully entrenched in the USA.

After the Fort Hood massacre news services seem divided between those hell-bent-for-leather on denying that it was a case of anything other than a persecuted loner “snapping” and those who proclaimed it the first “terrorist” attack on US soil since September 11th.

Both were wrong.

As we mentioned in our last posting, Fort Hood was an act of Jihad and that’s really all that matters:

Fort Hood it was hardly the first act of Jihad on US soil since September 11th. A few examples come to mind:

• The Anthrax Attacks (Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I do NOT buy the official line on these attacks, but that’s a posting for another time and place.)

• The DC “Sniper” Shootings (There is a great deal of evidence that John MOHAMMED carried out these attacks in the name of Allah.)

• The LAX Shooting at the El Al Ticket Counter

Note that it makes little difference if the perpetrators are members of a previously known terrorist organization (such as Al Qaeda) or were lone actors. Actually, it DOES make a difference. It is difficult to combat a shadowy organization like Al Qaeda, but it is far more difficult to combat lone wolf actors. Al Qaeda may be difficult to infiltrate and gather intelligence on, but how do we “infiltrate” a lone Jihadist?

This is symptomatic of a revolutionary Jihadist subculture metastasizing within the American Muslim community, especially within its mosques and organizations. This revolutionary subculture has produced an atmosphere in which Muslims are inspired to act violently. This is a very dangerous and volatile situation.

Over the last 12 months alone, we have been provided with a stack of evidence of the Jihadist insurgency inside America. Americans have largely ignored this evidence, or at least failed to “connect the dots.” Seemingly completely unrelated cases do in fact have common threads: they are acts of Jihad.

I decided to go back and research examples of Jihad in America over the last 12 months, roughly 1 December 2008 to 1 December 2009. Using the following sources, as well as Google, I have compiled this list of incidents, cases, actions, statements and plots which point to a Jihadist insurgency in our midst (Keep in mind that insurgencies are 80% civilizational/political and 20% violent/militant.):

Fort Hood: Was it “terrorism?” The wrong question! It’s ALL Jihad!

It is essential that we find out how extensive Nidal Malik Hasan’s ties to other Jihadists went. Of this there can be no doubt.

But we must refrain from entering into a debate on what amounts largely to semantics about whether or not the Fort Hood massacre was an act of “terrorism.”

We need to get away from focusing on the term “terrorism” anyway. Some folks still don’t consider the 1983 Beirut Barracks bombing by Hezbollah which killed 241 Marines, sailors and soldiers an act of terrorism because, by some widely regarded definitions, attacks on combatants cannot be termed “terrorism.”

The Fort Hood massacre and the attack on the Marine Barracks were acts of JIHAD.

The Jihadis themselves don’t refer to themselves as “terrorists.” But they most assuredly refer to themselves as “Jihadis.”

I say let them own that title. If one of them goes out on his own and shoots up a ticket counter at LAX, that is an act of Jihad, just as 9-11 was an act of Jihad.

This was never a war on “terrorism.”

We are at war with the Jihadists. They are waging Jihad against us and that takes many forms:

 

• Outright military confict (see Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs)

 

• Insurgency (See Iraq, Afghanistan, Algeria, Thailand, Philippines, Pakistan, India, Somalia, Yemen, and others)

 

• Terrorism (9-11, Subway bombings in Spain, Bombings in the UK, Mumbai, etc)

 

• Individual acts of violent Jihad (DC sniper, LAX shooting, perhaps (but not certain) Ft. Hood)

 

• Financial Jihad (zakat payments to Islamic charities which, by Islamic Shariah law, must fund Jihad, Sharia-Compliant Finance)

 

•Civilizational Jihad (peaceful methods, such as political influence operations (Muslim Bortherhood fronts such as CAIR, ISNA), mass immigration, lawfare, imposing Islamic customs on the West (insisting we play by their rules))

 

ALL OF THIS IS JIHAD. JIHAD IS THE KEY. WE SHOULD NOT GET WRAPPED UP IN TRYING TO CLASSIFY IT IN OUR OWN VERNACULAR. ORIENT ON THE ENEMY’S DOCTRINE AND LEARN HOW HE THINKS AND ACTS.

IT’S JIHAD.

Boston Muslim accused of plot to kill shoppers, troops

AMEHANNATIME_P1Tarek Mehanna, who grew up just outside Boston, has been in hot water with the FBI for a few years now.

First he lied to the FBI about the whereabouts of a terrorist suspect who is now serving 10 years in federal prison.

Now he finds himself in even worse trouble because he and a couple of pals evidently sought terrorist training in Pakistan but couldn’t seem to find a crew that would accept them.

What the article below does not mention is the fact that Jihadist groups overseas are becoming wary of American Jihadi candidates because they fear infiltration. (The first article linked below makes it appear that Mehanna and company were simply incompetent in their quest to join the Jihad. This is misleading, bad journalism.)

Of course, if you listen to the local Muslim community in Boston, they would have you believe that Mehanna was just an all-American kid and would never get involved in anything having to do with Jihad.

Then how did he end up involved with a guy who will be sitting in federal prison on a terrorist-related conviction in the first place?

Or does this qualify as “all-American” activity according to Mehanna’s friends, family and associates???

Former Gitmo detainee, “Yo Mo” al Shihri, killed in a shootout

If one were to believe what many on the Left in America say, the inmates at the prison facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba are nothing but innocent pilgrims and goat herders who all ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But an inconvenient truth of the prison population that has gone through that highly effective prison facility is the fact that no fewer than 61 former residents have been captured or killed on the field of battle waging Jihad after their release. And we should emphasize that those 61 are the ones we know about.

The latest is a distinguished gentleman named Yousef Mohammed al Shihri. This innocent shepherd (we’ll call him “Yo Mo” for short) was no doubt improperly incarcerated by the evil American empire after being snatched from his benevolent wanderings in beautiful, picturesque Afghanistan several years ago.

“Yo Mo” won his freedom from Gitmo with the capable help of Saudi authorities and went on, evidently, to pursue his true calling as a transgender wanderer in the deserts of Yemen, after having gone through the Sauds’ highly successful Jihadi rehab program. (By highly successful, we mean successful at sending terrorists back to their chosen profession.)

In Yemen, Yo Mo, dressed as a woman, was gunned down by authorities, no doubt without any justification whatsoever.

If a Jihadi gets wacked while wearing women’s clothes, when he gets to paradise, are his 72 virgins male or female?

These are the vital questions which we need answers to!

Terrorists sentenced in US for conspiring to attack Americans overseas

Jim Kouri has just posted a new report about a cell of Jihadists in Ohio who have now been sentenced to prison for plotting to attack Americans overseas.

To anyone who has been paying any attention at all, there has been a disturbing increase in the number of Jihadist plots within our borders. This Ohio plot is actually old news and doesn’t fall into the category of the recently uncovered plots, such as those in Illinois, Texas, Massachusetts, and elsewhere.

In the case of this Ohio cell, the article linked below exposes some real weaknesses in the “law enforcement” approach to fighting Jihad.

The sentences for these plots seem ridiculously lenient. I am not familiar with how federal sentences work, but if there is even a chance that these enemies of America could be released early based on good behavior or some other mechanism, this is not justice and shows just how stupid the idea of using law enforcement to fight Jihad is. If you plot to commit Jihadist terrorism against the US, you should either be sentenced to death or you should spend the rest of your life making little rocks out of big rocks…

Speaking of death sentences, why in the world weren’t the US citizens involved in this plot not tried and convicted of TREASON?

What should worry us most about this is the old saying attributed to an Irish Republican Army terrorist:

“We only have to get lucky once. You have to be lucky every time.”

How long before one of these Jihadist plots succeeds?

We all owe a huge debt of thanks to our intelligence and law enforcement agencies for holding the line up to this point.

UK Set to Release Lockerbie Bomber on “Humanitarian Grounds”

In 1988, 270 innocent people died a terrifying death due to the work of Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi, who was working for the Libyan government.

After years of investigative work and diplomatic wrangling which we won’t rehash here, al-Megrahi was tried and convicted in a British court to 27 years in prison.

But he is about to go free because he has terminal prostate cancer. This is an afront to justice and an insult to the families of the 270 innocent civilians killed 21 years ago.

Part of murdering people and getting caught and thrown in jail is that you will very likely take your last breath in a barren hospital jail cell all alone. There is nothing honorable in letting monsters like Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi go free out of a false sense of compassion.

If ever there was evidence of the sinister nature of Shariah-Compliant Finance, it can be found in Iran.

Iran is the world’s foremost terrorist-sponsoring nation, a country which sponsors Hezbollah, HAMAS and Al Qaeda.

Iran also supports the Taliban with weaponry in their fight against NATO forces in Afghanistan. And it is common knowledge that Iran is the principle supplier and training ground for insurgents in Iraq.

Four Jihadist Terrorists Confess to Plotting to Bomb US Targets in Germany

The men allegedly formed their terror cell for the Islamic Jihad Union and stand accused of plotting at least three bomb attacks in German cities targeting US citizens.
