The world seems to have mostly forgotten about the global jihadist insurgency. That’s unfortunate because jihadis are still active around the globe. It seems that attention in the US is focused on the partisan battle raging between President Trump and the Democrats in the House of Representatives.
As we have detailed for some time over the years, Africa continues to be a place that is being targeted by jihadis. One of the most dangerous groups in Africa is Al Shabaab, which originated in Somalia but has conducted operations elsewhere in east Africa, notably Kenya.
Now, there are reports that Al Shabaab has expanded into Ethiopia as well…this merits watching since there are numerous supporters of Al Shabaab here in the USA…

Reports are surfacing about a stabbing attack at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.
We are going to go ahead and speculate that this is a case of knife jihad. There are a few reasons for this:
- Jihadists have repeatedly threatened the Mall of America for attack in communications online and elsewhere.
- Officials are saying that the motive is “unclear.” We consider this a giveaway that it is a case of Jihad. Minnesota is absolutely overrun with Leftist political correctness. They may continue to deny the Jihad angle in this incident for some time. But we have reason not to trust law enforcement in that area, especially given a certain sheriff up there who is seriously soft on Jihad.
- There is a large Muslim population in the Bloomington area and it includes large numbers of Somalis, some of who have been caught supporting Al Shabaab. The U.S. has conducted a serious campaign against Al Shabaab in Somalia this year, with 26 known strikes against the group.
We shall see…
